Dry Cleaners, Part 1
It's high time I found myself some place to dry clean all my suits. So I decided to call around and find some dry cleaners near my place. My mom suggested this one place she usually goes to, but they're so expensive. There is also my sister's friend's place... they have hooked me up before (I think). So, I called around a good 5 places to get some quotes and any sort of reassurance on the quality of their work (No real luck in the quality). Worse comes to worse, I could just take one suit to each location and see which I like best... BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW? I don't know what a "good job" is. I don't have stains on my suits (a miracle in itself), but my co-worker told me that her dry cleaners put so much starch on her suit that when she wore it, her sleeve ripped because she contracted her arm! And what about pricing... What is too expensive and what is too cheap.
Well, the nearest location to my house just so happens to be owned by Vietnamese folks. I had a lovely conversation with the lady on the phone. She just told me to come check it out. They open at 6:30am (Too bad I'm already on my way to work but that hour)! If I drop my stuff off before 9am, I can pick it up the same day. How about that? I'm in no rush though. They close at 7pm, but that's when I'm at the gym. Looks like big sis is going to have to help me out, but I really want to talk with them... Get to know them... Become friends :D Maybe I'll go tonight! I will try my luck with these folks.
Let's just hope the place doesn't burn down like the place in Austin. Poor Myden... did you ever get any money back for your clothes? I still have all my suit receipts, just in case. I don't know where that would get me if something were to happen, but man... what on earth would I wear to work if all my suits went away. I sure can't toss on a pair of gym shorts.
