Morning Conversations II
After the Astros lost on Monday, most of the city of Houston was in mourning. Well, I was definitely looking forward to my Tuesday morning nap before getting to work. However, my mom couldn't stand it. She just had to know HOW ON EARTH YOU PLAY BASEBALL.
I then proceed to spend the next 40+ minutes explaining the rules of baseball, in the most simplest form. To give you a sample of what I was dealing with, here is one of the questions my mom had:
"I don't understand. How come there were two people standing at first base. Does that mean that if my team hits the ball again, then they throw the ball to one of the guys standing at the first base, and then they throw it to the second guy, and the second guy runs?"
